Day Lilies
Pine Hill, NJ

Some days I like to sit out back and watch the birds as they land on our bird feeders. The back garden has a birdbath. The people we bought the house from had planted these day lilies and we put the birdbath in the center of the garden. In the back Bill is cultivating a lovely fern garden. I liked the color I was seeing and the shade from the trees darkened the scene as the lilies popped out so red.

Garden and Pond
Glendora, NJ
My mother lives in a senior complex. There are gorgeous gardens throughtout and last year Bill and I spent a lot of time there after Mom broke her hip. Some of these are water ponds with fragrant water lilies and frogs croaking peonies blossoming. Its a paradise like the biblical "Garden of Eden". The complex has supplied benches throughout and if we decide we need to live in just such an apartment this would be my first choice.

Pond and Fence
Leaming's Run Gardens
Cape May County, NJ
A trip to Cape May must include a trip to Leaming's Run Gardens. It is one of the most beautiful places. Bill captured this picture of a pond and white picket fence. In the foreground is a azalea bush. They have all types of gardens and birds and butterflies. It is a wonderful and peaceful experience.

Colonial Garden
Philadelphia, PA
There are many gardens in Philadelphia. There is the Azalea Garden off Kelly Drive, the Rose Garden off Walnut or The Colonial Garden also off Walnut. There are garden tours and there are public buildings where one can feast their eyes on beautiful flowers. Philadelphia even boasts of a Japanese Garden. One place that is nice and offers a little quiet is the Colonial Garden. For ever so brief a time the city disappears.

Bench
Azalea Garden
Philadelphia, PA

We have to wait to get through March. I long for the warm breezes and sitting on benches behind the art musuem in Philadelphia. Sometimes we sit and read in the Azalea Garden or walk along Kelly Drive. Warm spring is coming. Can it get here sooner?
